Sometimes, there is truly nothing better than a cup of chicken soup. This one ups the nutrient-anty with bone broth and kale thrown into the mix. A great addition to any fall or winter day!
“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”

We live in a world of wellness that is validated by the before and after shot. The left side showing a sad, unfulfilled human in poor lighting with poor posture. On the right, a radiant individual, smiling, shoulders pulled back with confidence, and a six pack chiseled into their midsection…usually with “6 months later” or something along those lines as the caption.
I see this story all the time. My Instagram feed is inundated with this story. This story is everywhere.
But that is not MY story.
Saying “no” to the sweet stuff can seem pretty darn daunting, especially when it feels like it’s everywhere!
However, its so worth it! Critically evaluating your sugar intake and minimizing it as much as possible for even two weeks can have significant impacts on your health and can really drive down inflammation.
“Chronic inflammation is fine. Until it’s not. And then it’s REALLY not.”
When it comes to inflammation and our immune systems, there are elements that are within our control – nutrition, exercise, sleep, etc. – and there’s those that are outside of our control – environmental toxins, air pollution, etc. All of these take a toll and add up over time. Think of your immune system like a bucket and each pro-inflammatory trigger is a drop of water in this bucket. Each micro trigger, over time, fills up our immune system bucket…until it overflows!
“I haven’t been everywhere, but it is on my list.”
– Susan Sontag
